APPLICATION EQUIPMENT
There are two types of pumping equipment, a manual pump and a pneumatic pump. The following will describe the installation equipment and accessories. All pump kits contain an "Ultraseal Technical Installation Manual".
Manual Pump Kit (for 5 gallon pails) part # 3610-46 All aluminium pumps calibrated to dispense 4 units per stroke. Pump shaft is calibrated in one-unit increments for metering precise amount. Kit contains: Manual pump, Deluxe Valve Core Remover, 5 ft. hose, shut-off valve, quick clip chuck and Technical Installation Manual.
Manual Pump Kit (for 55 gallon drums) part # 3620-46: All aluminium pumps calibrated to dispense 4 units per stroke. Pump shaft is calibrated in one-unit increments for metering precise amount. Kit contains: Manual pump with extension, Deluxe Valve Core Remover, 10 ft. hose, shut-off valve, quick clip chuck and Technical Installation Manual.
Air Operated Pneumatic Pump Kits (for 55 gallon drums) Part # 900-46 Includes: Aluminium Air-operated Pump system can be set to dispense 1 to 32 units per stroke to achieve the required application amount. Kit contains a Deluxe Valve Core Remover, a 10 ft. hose, shut-off valve, quick clip chuck and a Technical Installation Manual.
Valve Core Remover tool (VCR) (standard in all pump kits)
This specially designed patented tool is indispensable when servicing fleets. The ability to install Ultraseal without having to let the air out of the tyre saves a tremendous amount of labour and equipment downtime.
An average passenger car or light truck tyre can be serviced in less than two minutes and a large truck tyre can be serviced in less than five minutes, wherever the vehicle may be located.
The VCR quickly connects to the quick clip chuck on the end of the hose. To remove the valve core, place the VCR onto the valve stem, push the knob/shaft downwards, when it is aligned, additional downward action will snap and lock it onto the valve core. Unscrew the core.
When completely unscrewed the valve core will slide up into the airtight chamber (the tyre will not lose air pressure during installation), this clears the valve stem passage for the installation of Ultraseal.
After installing the required amount, push the knob/shaft down and reinsert the valve core into the valve stem and tighten.
No air is lost during this procedure and it is accomplished very quickly.
OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES (not included in pump kits)
Dual Wheel Kit (Part # 555)
This kit is for standard bore valves and valve cores consisting of a specially designed extended valve core extractor, an extended straight-on self-locking air chuck, a short standard bore valve core extractor and an extended 180° self locking air chuck.
Utilizing these tools will require the loss of a few pounds of air, however the installation is quickly accomplished.
For the inside dual wheel the extended straight-on self-locking air chuck is used.
The short valve core remover locks onto the valve core to facilitate removal and works in unison with the extended 180° self-locking air chuck, for the outside dual wheel.
This system is designed to provide easy access and facilitate the application of Ultraseal.
Large Bore valve stem adapter (Part # LB200)
The Large Bore application tool attaches to the standard quick clip chuck (on the end of the pump hose). After manually removing the valve core, attach the tool directly onto the valve stem, proceed with the Ultraseal installation, then manually replace the valve core and re-air the tyre.
An alternative is to use our Large Bore Valve Core reducer (part # LB-100). This requires that the large valve core be removed. Screw the reducer onto the valve stem. The reducer (permanently replaces the large bore valve core) is equipped with a standard automotive type valve core. The tyre can now be serviced with the standard Ultraseal pump and VCR. From this point on, any air hose with standard fittings can be used to service tyres.
TYRE Sealant Vacuum tool (Part # SVAC-3)
Ultraseal's especially designed high powered vacuum tool offers a quick effective method for the removal of Ultraseal and foreign substance accumulated inside of a tyre.
PLEASE NOTE: The heavy duty product range and supporting equipment will be available shortly.

THE "ULTRASEAL TECHNICAL MANUAL" LISTS ALL TYRE SIZES AND CORRECT
AMOUNT OF ULTRASEAL TO BE INSTALLED, DEPENDING ON MISSION PROFILE
see below, how mission profile is determined and categorized
APPLICATION AMOUNTS
The amount of Ultraseal that is required per tyre size, has been mathematically calculated by taking measurements of the inner surface of specific tyre/rim assemblies for each tyre size listed. The Ultraseal engineers have calculated the amount of Ultraseal that is required to provide coverage per square inch of surface including a reserve. It is necessary to have a slight reserve. Approximately 20% of the minimum application amount is considered as the reserve. The application amount is calculated on average tyre porosity and puncture frequency in the life span of a tyre. Therefore, in order to arrive at the precise amount of Ultraseal necessary for each tyre size, the tyre's total inner surface is divided by the Ultraseal coverage factor, thus providing the minimum installation amount, with an adequate reserve.
VEHICLE MISSION PROFILE
The vehicle's usage/mission profile will determine the application amount that will be required for the tyres of the vehicle in question. Never install less than the minimum amount designated for that particular tyre size. It is recommended that the tyre and rim balance, trueness and front suspension integrity be verified prior to installing Ultraseal into tyres on vehicles used at highway speeds. Ultraseal can not cause imbalance but an existing problem can cause Ultraseal to pull off the vertical inner surfaces and may aggravate the existing problem.
AVERAGE MOTORWAY USE
This application amount is for high-speed vehicles and equipment that is used on the motorway. In this application, Ultraseal has been calculated for high-speed optimum safety and protection for the tread life of the tyre.
INTERMEDIATE ON/OFF ROAD USE
This application amount is for equipment that is used on and off motorways or that is in an area of increased exposure to punctures. The increased amount is additional reserve, which will provide for the repair of many added punctures. Examples: construction vehicles, hunting vehicles, survey crew vehicles, utility vehicles, golf carts, mowers, etc.
EXTREME OFF ROAD USE
This application amount is for equipment that is constantly off roads and is required to complete a job. Downtime is a major expense when a flat tyre occurs. The additional amount will sufficiently increase the reserve to accommodate for many additional punctures.
A second consideration is the additional life Ultraseal provides in preserving the casings for additional retreads and the retardation of dry rot. Example: graders, tractors. backhoes, rubbish trucks, sweepers, dump trucks, mining equipment, etc.
SPECIAL SITUATIONS
Prior to installing Ultraseal, it is recommended to inspect the tyre's outer surface for signs of aging, stress and existing damage. If the tyres have sufficient tread and are considered good, then proceed with the installation. Within any fleet there are used tyres and re-treaded casings that are already prematurely aged with early signs of dry rot. These casings will absorb more Ultraseal than a normal casing and the application amount will need to be increased. A general rule of thumb is to add an additional 10% of the required dosage to the questionable casings.
